Smithy Studio is a homeware set in the rolling hills of Shropshire, the store specialises in handmade and locally sourced home wares made by local makers. The client wanted a website that was simple, intuitive and stylish. A logo was also required and a simple typewriter style font was chosen to indicate the simplisty and artisan feel of the brand, grey was used as a background for a contemporary feel.
For the website is was important that it clearly displayed product imagery and information about the makers that were showcasing their work in the store. Due to the rural setting of the store it was fundamental that information regarding opening times and a location map were included. Social media links were added to connect the website to social media platforms, to create awareness of the store.
The Royal Lodge a hotel and wedding venue suited in the heart of the Wye Valley, England. The client wanted to modernise and refresh the company's image, this entailed revamping the old logo and website. The brief for the logo was simple it needed to incude a deer, as deer's were often found in the area. Jack went for a classical approach with a strong classic type in gold to indicate the luxury feel of the hotel, a leaping deer was placed above to satifiy the brief but also indicating the company taking a leap into the future with their new image.
